Assistance in Healthcare provides monthly financial assistance to households that include someone fighting cancer.
Faith Kids in Oklahoma City is devoted to passionately advocate and help local Oklahoma families, local charities and local community out reach initiatives that support kids and their families that are battling life threatening illnesses.
Hopestone Cancer Support Center in Bartlesville offers many events and groups to offer support to families who have been affected by cancer free of charge.
Pierce Phillips Charity provides financial assistance to families who have a child on treatment for cancer.
Oklahoma Outdoor Outreach provides special hunts for kids who have illness or disabilities.
Make A Wish provides a wish for children who have a life threatening condition. All children age 3+ who have had a cancer diagnosis qualify for to make a wish. Common wishes include to have something, to meet someone, or to go somewhere.
AWARENESS EVENTS
The Gold4Kids Walk & 5K is a fun family event held in September of every year, celebrating fighters, survivors and remembering angels. Funding raised for Gold4Kids Cancer Foundation of Tulsa will benefit national research through the National Children’s Oncology Group and local programs at The Children’s Hospital at Saint Francis.
CAMPS & RETREATS
Camp Strong is hosted by St. Francis Children’s Hospital for children ages 6-18 that have been diagnosed with cancer or a heart condition. The camp is held at Shepherd’s Fold Ranch in June each year.
Hope’s Crossing is a day camp held at Camp Loughridge for campers who need more one on one help. Campers are paired with a counselor to help them throughout the day.
Lighthouse Family Retreat provides seaside retreats in Florida for families who have a child with cancer.
Blue Skies Ministry provides week long retreats for the whole family in Florida for families who have had a child diagnosed with cancer.
Camp Sunshine provides camp sessions in Casco, Maine for families who have a child diagnosed with cancer and some other rare diagnoses. Bereavement sessions are also available. Travel expenses for first time families may be provided.
